The RE/SUB Demo Is Live on Steam
After years of building, testing, and obsessing over puzzle layouts, We’re excited to share that the RE/SUB playable demo is now live on Steam. You can download it right now and start playing.
RE/SUB is a puzzle game about sliding across boards and finding the path to the goal — but every tile you cross becomes a wall you can’t pass through again. You start on flat grids, but the game doesn’t stay flat for long. Puzzles evolve into 3D cubes and eventually into 4D, and each jump completely changes how you think about movement and space.
Wrapped around the puzzles is a dystopian AI narrative. Two AI characters — one an authoritative overlord, the other a lovable low-tier bot who’s basically a sentient toaster — guide, question, and react to your progress. Your answers shape how the story unfolds.
The demo gives you a taste of the early puzzles, introduces both AI characters, and lets you experience the first dimensional shift. It’s a contained slice that should give you a solid feel for what the full game is building toward.
The full game has 100+ hand-crafted levels across 8 worlds, with mechanics like teleporters, sticky tiles, keys, and resets layering on as you go. No procedural generation — every puzzle is designed to teach, surprise, or break your brain in a specific way.
And there’s a lot more to come — including a Steam Next Fest appearance this June. If you try the demo, I’d love to hear what you think. Wishlist the game if you want to stay in the loop.
